Restylane is a facial injectable based on hyaluronic acid, the natural substance found in your skin, which rejuvenates skin, enhances facial contours, smoothes away wrinkles and creates fuller lips.
Treatments with Restylane are long-lasting, but not permanent. The effects generally last between 6 and 12 months and with one re-treatment up to 18 months. Lip treatments generally need to be done every 6 months.
Lifestyle factors, such as smoking, and sun damage contribute to the aging of our skin, and significantly, our skin’s collagen production, elasticity and hyaluronic acid levels diminish as we age. The combination of these elements lead to the formation of wrinkles. Restylane products improve elasticity, restoring structure and balance, as well as filling out folds and wrinkles.
Restylane can be used on:
· Hands- Boost skin elasticity- Increase skin tone- Reduce appearance of veins
· Lips- As an enhancement for fuller lips (lip augmentation)- To define the lip line (vermilion border)- Reduce smoker’s lines around the mouth (perioral lines)- Happier mouth corners (oral commisures)
· Face- Deep skin hydration- Reduce appearance acne scars and sun damage- Facial lines and wrinkles, including forehead, nose to mouth, crow’s feet- Chin and cheek volume and contour
Your physician and you will decide whether Restylane is suitable for your needs. The treatment only takes 15-30 minutes and is performed by injecting the Restylane through a fine needle into your skin.
After the treatment you may experience redness, discomfort and swelling, which will subside in the following days and weeks.
To reach the optimal result it may be necessary for a touch-up treatment.
Why not? You’ll certainly save yourself at least a couple of hundred – and more if you are having more than one area done, or the area needs more than one syringe full.
Bangkok is not a seedy third-world city – although there may well be some parts of it that are, just as in any city in the world. It has been a popular destination for both regular tourists and medical tourists for some time, and while the cost is a major draw, people just wouldn’t come if the services were inadequate.
That said, it is always worth doing some research. Yes – there are a multitude of places offering these non-surgical procedures, just as at home, so you may be forgiven for thinking there is no more risk than going for a haircut – but that simply isn’t the case. These treatments, in the wrong hands, can make you look worse – so isn’t it worth spending a little bit of time verifying the credentials of the clinic and practitioners?
We know this isn’t always easy, which is why Medical Departures has done this process for you. We work extremely closely with reliable clinics who we trust to deliver high standards and expertise. How do we know this? Because we do our own background checks, confirming qualifications, professional memberships and visiting the clinics ourselves. If we don’t like what we see, we don’t list them. When you book with us, you are assured that the clinic you choose has already had these checks, then it’s just up to you to decide from the high-definition clinic photos and patient reviews we also publish where you want to go.
On average, on syringe of Restylane is required for one area, but some may require more. One syringe is around AUD $600 in Bangkok, compared to AUD $750 in Australia.
