Butt Lift in Cancun

The Ultimate Guide to Butt Lift in Cancun

Flat bottoms can be given shape with a butt lift. In Cancun you can save at least 50% on the procedure compared to prices at home, and relax in the stunning surroundings of Mexico’s Riviera Maya.

Maybe you’ve always wanted a more voluptuous booty, or maybe it’s sagged with age, or maybe you’ve lost a lot of weight and have a lot of loose skin – whatever the reason getting a butt lift will give you the confidence to wear whatever you like.

Why should I have a Butt Lift in Cancun?

Cancun is an alternative to the high prices that any of us find in our home countries for cosmetic surgery. Americans and Canadians are frequent visitors to Cancun, but so too are visitors from across the world, including Europe.

As Cancun is popular for vacationers, it is becoming increasingly popular as a medical tourist destination. It has good quality hospitals and clinics, equipped with the latest diagnostic and therapeutic technologies and staffed by well trained and qualified doctors and support teams.

Together with luxurious beachfront hotels, and the services and facilities that Cancun is renowned for,  it makes for a great place to recuperate in.

Significant investment has spurred the growth of medical tourism as an industry here and there are Joint Commission International-accredited facilities that are testament to the high-quality on offer here.

However, it’s always worth checking things out for yourself with regard to the credentials of your shortlisted doctors and facilities. This isn’t always easy to do, which is why booking through Medical Departures makes sense. We pre-check surgeons and clinics and list our findings on our website. You can search for the procedure you want and see the clinics and doctors offering it, compare prices and view professional memberships & qualifications. You can also read real patient reviews and see high-definition photographs as well as virtual video tours. You can get a good overview of what’s on offer and ‘look before you book’.

How long does the butt lift procedure take and what’s involved?

The butt lift procedure is usually performed as an out-patient, which means you don’t need to stay overnight in hospital. There isn’t an overall approach as each patient has their own needs and your surgeon will tailor the procedure to suit your body shape and goals.

Incisions are made, usually at the waist or slightly below, and excess skin is pulled up and removed. Fat is also removed from the soft tissues and the skin tightened and stitched. Sterile dressings are applied and a compression garment applied to hold the skin in place, aiding the natural healing process and reducing swelling.

It takes around 2 hours, on average.

What is the recovery time for a butt lift?

After surgery you will feel sore and stiff, and you may find it more comfortable to lie flat on your stomach rather than sit. Swelling and bruising will be evidence. Full recovery takes up to 6 months, but you should find that the swelling subsides within a few weeks, which is when most people return to work.

Strenuous exercise and vigorous activities should be avoided for 6 weeks.

What is the cost comparison of a Butt lift in Cancun compared to the United States or Canada?

The average cost of a butt lift in Cancun is around $3,200 (GBP £2,200; AUD $4,600; €22,000) compared to $9,000 in the United States (UK £6,300; AUS $13,000, EUR €8,200)
