Rhinoplasty is a surgical procedure that is performed to improve the appearance of the nose and/or correct functional problems, such as breathing difficulties. The rhinoplasty procedure varies for each individual, depending on the nature of the surgery and each individual's specific needs and goals, as there are many different reasons why someone might choose to undergo rhinoplasty.

One common reason is to correct a broken or misshapen nose. This might involve realigning the nasal bones or cartilage to improve the symmetry and overall appearance of the nose. Another common reason is to reduce the size of the nose, either by removing a hump or refining the tip.

The rhinoplasty procedure can involve either open or closed techniques. In a closed rhinoplasty, all incisions are made inside the nose, which results in less visible scarring. You will be advised to take things slowly in the weeks following surgery, but after three weeks you should be able to take part in gentle exercise, and after six weeks for more vigorous activities.
