Mount Alvernia Hospital are situated in Singapore and are the first private, and the only, not-for-profit Catholic acute tertiary care hospital in the country. Providing a compassionate, excellent and holistic healthcare service since 1949, the hospital has grown into a 304-bed general acute care medical institution, possessing tertiary medical capabilities and two multi-disciplinary medical specialist centres.
The hospital is supported by over 1,200 accredited doctors, which includes over 160 on-site specialist doctors, and this number is expected to expand in the short-term as all surplus income generated by the facility is reinvested in developing and upgrading the hospital, supporting the Assisi Hospice and other community outreach activities.
Located close to the picturesque MacRitchie Reservoir, the oldest reservoir in Singapore, the hospital provides the ideal location for patients to recuperate after treatment. The distinctive zig-zag bridge and Performing Arts Pavilion are popular spots at the reservoir, along with the MacRitchie Reservoir Suspension Bridge and the famed network of boardwalks that surround the attraction.
The hospital is open from 8am until 5pm on weekdays, and is also available on Saturdays between 8am and 1pm, providing complimentary drinking water and free wi-fi access at all times whilst patients are on-site.

I was in this hospital from 5th October/16 to 11th October. I was digonosed with cancer in my right kidney. I got for immediate right kidney removal surgery. I was in St.Dominic war in room St. Jacob. OT is excellent, room is excellent, very clean. Doctors are very expert, except one nurse I found all the nurses very caring, humble and highly professional. Though it is Christian missing hospital and I am a Muslim, hospital served me Muslim food. But office seemed little beat lengthy.
