Thought about being a medical traveler? Give it a go with liposuction in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, a relatively simple introduction to cosmetic surgery available in delightful coastal surroundings.
Most of us are plagued with stubborn pockets of fat that we can’t shift; liposuction is a simple way to help remove it. Using this method, a thin tube called a cannula is inserted into the targeted areas of your body and the fat vacuumed away. There are now many other methods of liposuction, both surgical and nonsurgical, using modern technologies. One of them may just be right for you.
Stubborn fat areas in the abdomen, butt, thighs, breasts, arms and back yield to liposuction. Smaller areas, including the chin and neck, also yield rewarding results with liposuction. Various techniques use water, ultrasound or laser to dilute the fat into a liquid, which can then be sucked out with a thin tube.
Puerto Vallarta is a great place for a holiday. It also offers cosmetic procedures at very affordable rates. You can combine a holiday in Mexico with some light cosmetic surgery. Puerto Vallarta is easily accessible from many cities in Canada and the U.S. with non-stops from many larger metro areas.
As the cost of living here is low, medical procedures are available at reasonable rates. It also has a large population of ex-pats and retirees thanks to its moderate climate and relaxed lifestyle. At the same time, PV (as it's called by the locals) offers top-quality medical options, as long as you book with a quality-checked clinic.
Booking through Medical Departures is safe because we carry out an investigation on the training, qualifications and credentials of the doctors at the hospitals and clinics, providing details on our clinic listings alongside other useful information, such as professional memberships and authenticated patient reviews.
Liposuction will take between an hour and three hours, depending on the type of liposuction you select and the areas to be treated. It may be done under sedation, local anesthesia or general anesthesia. In most cases, you will be able to return to your place of stay shortly after the procedure, even after invasive liposuction.
You will need to wear bandages for at least two weeks, along with compression garments, which you will wear for much longer. Stitches, if used, will take around five days to be removed. For minor procedures that don’t require stitches, you can resume work after a few days. It can take several weeks or months for the bruising to resolve and the results to be apparent.
In the U.S. and Canada, the cost of liposuction can range from US$ 6,000 to US$ 12,000. In Puerto Vallarta, you can expect to pay a fraction of that price, with the same procedure here starting at around US$ 2,000.
