Searching for a fresher-faced look? If you’re on holiday in Malaysia take advantage of lower prices and get microdermabrasion in Johor Bahru – the rapidly growing city on Singapore’s doorstep.
That’s right – it’s only a 10-minute train ride away from Singapore Woodlands to Johor Bahru, or a car ride over the Johor-Singapore Causeway. Many of Singapore’s residents regularly make the trip over. Why? Because it’s considerably less expensive and the city has lots to offer in terms of shopping, restaurants, nightlife and other recreational activities.
Johor Bahru may not immediately spring to mind as a holiday destination, but if city destinations float your boat then this could well be an option for you. The nearest Malaysian city to Singapore, Johor Bahru is economically linked to its nearest neighbor with dining, shopping and entertainment facilities a draw for Singaporeans. Naturally, these facilities will appeal to visitors from elsewhere, but unlike the UNESCO listed George Town in Penang, the city doesn’t offer much in terms Malaysia’s old-Colonial past. However, there are one or two historical buildings of note in the city, like the Grand Palace with its Victorian-style garden and architecture, and the Wooden Railway, the city’s former railway station which is now a museum.
As far as healthcare facilities are concerned, Malaysia is one of the top medical tourism destinations in the world. The country has a network of top-quality facilities covering the whole country and you can rely on receiving the best care, supplied by qualified technicians with up-to-date skills.
There is always a small degree of risk with any medical or surgical procedure, regardless of where in the world you have it carried out. It’s easy to assume that cosmetic treatments like microdermabrasion are without risk, after all, it’s not surgery. But, it is still worth taking a little time to make sure any clinic you go to has the right credentials.
When you book with Medical Departures you are given these assurances as we have already performed the necessary background checks so you don’t have to. We publish clinic photos, details of doctor qualifications, professional memberships and real patient reviews on our website with prices, maps and other useful information so you can use the information to make your own mind up.
There are two methods for microdermabrasion – one is called crystal microdermabrasion which blasts micro-crystals at the surface of the skin to dislodge dead skin, and the other is diamond-tip microdermabrasion whereby a diamond-tipped handpiece is used to remove the dead skin. The procedure takes around 30 minutes to complete.
After the procedure you may have a little reddening of the skin and minor localized swelling. Slather on some good quality moisturizer with a high Sun Protection Factor (SPF) rating and you can carry on with your everyday activities straight after the treatment.
