Labiaplasty in Manila

The Ultimate Guide to Labiaplasty in Manila

Labia Majora and Minora come in all sizes, shapes and colors, so it is hard to say what is normal. Sometimes, either because of injury, genetics, vaginal birth, appearance or sex reassignment surgery, surgical changes are needed. If this is you, consider getting a Labiaplasty, in Manila. A labiaplasty is also sometimes known as a vaginoplasty or Labia Minora Reduction. You’ll find great quality providers with the experience and qualifications you need, at a fraction of the cost if you got the surgery at home.

Am I a good candidate for Labiaplasty?

You may be if:
You are gynecologically healthy, and in good over all health
You have realistic expectations of end results
You don’t smoke – smoking reduces your ability to heal after surgery.

Why Should I get my Labiaplasty in Manila?

Manila’s standard of care is quite high. Most doctors and medical practitioners have graduated from top universities, and have studied in U.S. medical schools prior to returning to Manila. English is spoken widely, so language won’t be a barrier. You can expect top medical care, and state of the art facilities.

You’ll also find the procedure costs 50-90% less than what you would pay at home. That significantly lower cost includes airfare and accommodations. You may even be able to work in a mini vacation to experience the unique combination of Spanish and American culture with Malay influences Manila has to offer! Talk to your doctor about when you can schedule a tour of the area around your treatments.

Techniques

Your surgeon will choose the best technique for you, and with which they are most experienced, but there are four basic types:

Edge resection technique – removes the free margin of labia minora, which can remove the pigmented tissue, if desired. This technique may leave an additional tab of tissue over the clitoral hood, and does not tighten the labia minora. More effective for very long and enlarged labia minora.

Central wedge resection technique – tightens the entire length of the labia and provides more natural appearance after healing.

De-epithelialization technique – reduces the vertical excess tissue, while retaining the natural appearance of the labia minora, as well as natural sensation and function.

Labiaplasty with clitoral unhooding – using sutures to uncover the clitoris and tightens the labia minora.

Laser labiaplasty technique – This technique uses a laser to do a procedure similar to #3 – reducing the vertical excess, while retaining the natural appearance and function, but there is a possibility of epidermal inclusion cysts.

Labiaplasty by de-Epithelialization – This is a combination of techniques, including de-epithelialization, clamp-resection (using a clamp to hold the tissue that is to be removed), and sometimes the technique of the five-flap Z-plasty, or the “Jumping Man plasty), which helps create a more pleasing shape.

How long will the procedure take to do?

Labiaplasty surgery takes one and three hours, depending on if there are any other procedures done during the surgical session. Most often it is done as outpatient, meaning you can go home same day. Sometimes an overnight inpatient stay is indicated.

What does the recovery process look like?

The surgical area will be swollen for four to six weeks. While you can get back to work in about a week, you will have to wait for any sexual activity for about six to eight weeks.
