Sculptra in Mexico City

The Ultimate Guide to Sculptra in Mexico City

Last fact-checked: 23 November 2020

Sculptra® in Mexico City can help erase the signs of aging if you have wrinkles, sagging skin or loss of volume anywhere on your face.

What Is Sculptra?

A trip to Mexico City for a vacation or business is a great opportunity to carry out some affordable cosmetic treatments. One effective, non-invasive option is Sculptra, a dermal filler that helps fill deep lines on the face, like nose-to-mouth lines, wrinkles and even fine lines around the lips (and it can also be used to enhance the lips).

While most dermal fillers are injected just under the skin, Sculptra is injected a little deeper. It causes an inflammatory response in the body that helps with collagen production. Collagen makes the skin smoother and tighter, reducing or erasing signs of aging, giving you a more youthful appearance. Results after a series of treatments can last around two years and since Sculptra is made from a biocompatible material, the risk of allergic reactions is low.

Why Consider Sculptra in Mexico City?

When you live in the U.S. or Canada, heading to Mexico City for a holiday is both easy and affordable thanks to daily direct flights from most major cities. If you live closer to the border, driving is another option as are buses and trains from some towns. Mexico City is an attractive tourist destination thanks to its warmer climate and the many tourist attractions in the city or not too far from town.

You can visit monuments, museums and centuries-old cultural sites; you also can check out the Teotihuacan pyramids, a 2,300-year-old UNESCO World Heritage site. Mexico City has numerous day trips that you can take for sightseeing or food tours. The town is well known for its endless shopping opportunities: malls, department stores and local flea markets that suit all budgets. From many countries, you do not need a visa to travel to Mexico.

Why Book Sculptra in Mexico City with Medical Departures?

It is always important to ensure any cosmetic treatment is performed by a board-certified doctor for the best results and to ensure your safety. If you book on your own, you may find it difficult, to check out the antecedents of the doctors or clinics. Many people have had bad experiences even with superficial cosmetic treatments, and you want to mitigate your risks.

Medical Departures offers safety and the best price guarantee. We check out the accreditations and qualifications, the experience and skills of the doctors and clinics we list on our website. We also make sure that the clinics and hospitals follow all international treatment protocols, along with high patient safety and service standards. This gives you an added layer of protection while increasing the likelihood of a rewarding outcome.

What Is the Sculptra Procedure and What Is the Estimated Recovery Time?

Like other dermal fillers, Sculptra is injected into pre-determined areas where you desire to be treated. The difference is that Sculptra is injected much deeper into the skin, using a special injecting technique.  After the injections, a massage technique is carried out to evenly distribute the product. In fact, you will be advised to massage regularly so that no lumps form.

After treatment, you may experience some pain, swelling and bruising for some time, but it will not be debilitating. You can use ice packs or cold compresses to reduce the swelling and bruising, although you should find you can resume most of your normal activities on the same day of treatment.

Results will take six weeks to become fully apparent, after which time your in-country or at-home doctor can decide how many more treatments are required. This is because Sculptra works best with more than one treatment (usually around six are recommended at various intervals; ask your doctor for details).

What Is the Cost of Sculptra in Mexico City Compared to Back Home?

In the US, you can expect to pay between USD $600 to USD $2,000 depending on how many injections you need and where you live. In Mexico City at one of our partner clinics, you'll pay a starting price of just USD $300.
