Get the look you’ve always wanted for less with facial rejuvenation in Mexico. Facial rejuvenation is actually a number of different procedures that can be combined to give you a tailor-made approach to restoring your youthful features. Both surgical and non-surgical treatments can be used to target those troublesome areas that are specific to you.
A combination of treatments can add up to a fair amount of money, but in Mexico most treatments are at least 50% less than in the United States – so your money will go much, much further.
North Americans have been traveling to Mexico for medical and dental treatments for some time, but now the rest of the world has discovered Mexico’s excellent facilities and prices. It is currently one of the leading medical tourism centers in the world.
It is not hard to see why. There has been massive investment in the infrastructure, and new hospitals and clinics are modern, advanced and up-to-date with the latest technology and equipment. From Tijuana to Cancun, there are plenty of facilities, staffed with medical personnel who are well qualified (many are US trained), with the same degree of professionalism and expertise you would find at home.
If you are thinking about facial rejuvenation, then it is worth doing your homework first. Find out all you can about the various treatments, and more importantly, how they can work for you. Arm yourself with questions and ask, ask, ask. Likewise, feel free to ask any prospective surgeon about their experience.
You should also check out the internet – previous patient testimonials and reviews are a great source of information. However, don’t just rely on these. They should be one part of your research process in building up a picture of whether you think a particular clinician is the one for you.
Medical Departures undertakes a number of checks in our verification process. As well as visiting clinics, we do criminal and legal record checks, verify qualifications and confirm professional memberships. We publish clinic photos on our website and real patient reviews. We don’t decide who you see – you do – and we want you to make an informed choice so that you will feel less apprehensive about your treatment.
This really depends on what treatments you want to combine. Each treatment is an individual as you are, and so you will need to have a thorough consultation with your surgeon as to what surgical and non-surgical enhancements will help you achieve the desired result. You may have to return several times at each stage of your treatments.
Usually, any surgery takes place first, and you will need to wait for this to heal before you can start with non-surgical treatments. This may be 6 months’ or longer.
If you have facial surgery, you will be in discomfort for several days afterwards and suffer from bruising and swelling for a couple of weeks. You will need to take it easy for a few weeks and refrain from vigorous activities, including exercise, for around 6 weeks. It will take 6 months’ before your face has fully healed.
After that, any non-surgical treatments can be carried out. Recovery times vary, but the downtime is significantly less than surgery.
It really depends on what treatments you have, as the procedures are honed to your particular needs. By way of example, if you are having a full facelift plus some other non-surgical treatments, in Mexico the cost would be around $10,000 compared to upwards of $20,000 in the United States.
