The Ultimate Guide to Labiaplasty in Philippines

Find out about labiaplasty in the Philippines with Medical Departures. This female genital procedure is on the increase, and we can help you to find quality-checked surgeons at more affordable prices if you feel this procedure is for you.

Some women are not happy with how their labia (vaginal lips) look or feel. It could be the inner, outer or both that are causing problems. Sometimes it may be just esthetics that is the issue, but other times it may be because of physical problems, such as painful sex.

The recovery time from the procedure is relatively quick, and in the Philippines will cost considerably less than at home, so you may want to consider the Philippines as an option if you feel this procedure’s for you.

Why should I get labiaplasty in the Philippines?

A great holiday destination, the islands of the Philippines are many and varied, offering an assortment of locations and different experiences – from secluded desert islands to remote mountains to the sprawling metropolis, Manila.

Filipino culture is unique, with both American and Spanish influences. It does mean that English is spoken widely, and you’ll have no problems making yourself understood.

The Philippines is also becoming a popular medical tourism destination, especially for Aussies and Kiwis, who come to take advantage of the lower prices.

Filipino hospitality is legendary. The people are friendly with a sunny disposition, making you feel welcome and as if nothing is too much trouble.

Healthcare facilities are good and hospital staff well-trained, qualified and efficient. There are a good many Joint Commission International affiliated facilities throughout the country, and you will find facilities meet international standards, like those of the International Standards Organization.

Of course, these are general observations, and you are always wise to do your own research. This is not always easy, which is why we do our own background checks so you can be sure that when you book through us your doctor and clinic has the right credentials. Our checks include legal and criminal records, doctor qualifications, professional memberships and real patient testimonials. You can view these on our site to help you make up your own mind.

How long does the labiaplasty procedure take and what is the recovery time?

Labial reduction is a reasonably straightforward process. After you have been given light sedation or a local anesthetic, the excess tissue is removed by either a scalpel or a laser. Stitches are used to close wounds – sometimes dissolvable ones are used, and the process typically takes around an hour.

Once the anesthetic has worn off you will feel some discomfort and experience swelling. You’ll be advised to walk around as much as you can as this helps ease the swelling and speeds recovery. It will only be a few days before you can resume your everyday activities, apart from bathing – which is not permitted until after the stitches have dissolved or been taken out (5-7 days).

Vigorous activity is not permitted for 6 weeks (including sex).

What is the cost of labiaplasty in the Philippines?
