Butt Lift in South Korea

The Ultimate Guide to Butt Lift in South Korea

If you’re unhappy with the shape of your bottom you can change it with a butt lift. In South Korea our quality-checked surgeons can remove sagging skin to make your bottom firm and sexy again, instead of saggy and wrinkly.

Why should I get a Butt Lift in South Korea?

South Korea is a vibrant, modern country that still retains its traditional culture. In common with other Asian countries, it has beautiful landscapes to explore, fascinating cities, and unspoilt beaches. From theme parks to spas and gardens to nightclubs, South Korea is fun, enjoyable and a great holiday destination if you fancy somewhere with less Westerners.

For medical tourists, South Korea is a great country to visit. It is fair to say that cosmetic surgery is part of the culture here – and in cities like Seoul it isn’t unusual to see people going about their business with bandaged faces. Cosmetic surgery does not have a stigma here and making the best of yourself is actually encouraged. There are estimates that as much as 50% of some sectors of society have had a cosmetic procedure.

This means that South Korea’s surgeons have a lot of experience! Its healthcare facilities are second-to-none and doctor training here is as demanding as it is anywhere else.

We always recommend that if you are considering surgery anywhere that you should do some background research. Find out about the procedure you have in mind, as well as hospitals, doctor qualifications, professional memberships and online testimonials. The more information you have, the better equipped you will be to decide on quality.

This is what Medical Departures does with its listings. We know you can’t see the facilities before you go, so we try to be your eyes. We visit our clinics and publish high-definition clinic photos and virtual tours, alongside our other findings on qualifications, patient reviews and professional memberships -giving you all the information you need to make your own decision.

How long does a butt lift procedure take, and what’s involved in the surgery?

The butt lift typically takes between 3 and 6 hours, depending on how much tissue and skin is removed.

Your surgeon may use one of a number of techniques to do the surgery. Some surgeons prefer incisions to be made at the top of the buttocks, others in the groin or hip. Your surgeon will probably discuss this with you beforehand, but the incisions will be made in an area that can be covered with clothing, like bikini bottoms.

The surgery involves pulling the skin tight at the incision, removing excess tissue and stitching the remaining skin closed.

What is the recovery time after a butt lift?

After surgery you may be wearing a compression garment, and there may be some drains inserted to remove fluid away from the wounds. You will be sore and tender for the first few days and may find it easier to lie on your stomach rather than sit down.

Take it easy, although walking around is encouraged as it does help with swelling. After a week or so you should be feeling much better, but it may take 2 or 3 weeks before you can engage in your everyday activities, and up to 6 weeks before you can take part in vigorous activities.

How much do butt lifts in South Korea cost, compared to Australia or New Zealand?
