The BBL, as it’s called for short, has become a surgical popular procedure as women aspire to get a more curvaceous look that is in vogue right now. Traveling to Cancun can help you save thousands on the procedure, plus you get to enjoy a holiday either before or after your surgery.
The procedure normally involves harvesting fat from another area of your body and injecting it into the buttocks to create a fuller, yet still natural-looking shape.
Cancun is an attractive destination for visitors from all over the world and is particularly well-loved by Americans and Canadians – with the added bonus for them of not having to travel long-haul.
Cancun’s facilities are second-to-none, both for regular tourists as well as medical tourists with a beautiful coastline, first-rate hotels and scores of things to do from eating out, shopping and bar-hopping to excursions to the fascinating ruins of Mexico’s ancient Maya civilization.
The beauty of coming to Cancun for cosmetic surgery is that it won’t break the bank. Compared to the prices at home most people can easily make savings of at least 50%, giving them more than enough to enjoy the best of everything while on holiday.
An upmarket destination, Cancun’s private medical facilities are also upscale. Contemporary and modern, equipped with the latest technology and adhering to international standards on hygiene and safety, they are also staffed with skilled and knowledgeable staff who are well-trained and qualified.

This is a moot point, and very often the lines are blurry. To summarize:
Fat is extracted from the donor site (usually the stomach, thighs or back) with liposuction. It is then cleansed and processed, making it suitable for injection into the buttocks. This is done through small incisions in areas across the buttocks; scarring will be minimal and can be covered by bikini bottoms so you won’t see any evidence of surgery.
After surgery, you will feel uncomfortable and stiff. You may be wearing compression garments which help ease swelling and speed your recovery. You will be given pain medication to ease your discomfort, but you may find it more preferable to lie on your stomach, rather than sitting, for at least a few days after your surgery. Once you are discharged from hospital ensure you have at least a pillow to sit down on in the car on the way back to your hotel. You may have to use a pillow for a good few weeks until you have healed sufficiently, and all the tenderness and bruising has subsided.
Most people return to their everyday activities after one or two weeks but you will have to take things gently, with no vigorous activities advised for six weeks. To heal fully inside and out may take up to six months.
