Breast augmentation in Kuala Lumpur, an affordable destination for all sorts of medical procedures, can give you a larger size without breaking the bank. You’ll be able to wear the clothes that you like and finally be able to flaunt your cleavage and curves... if you so desire!

Breast augmentation is now an extremely popular cosmetic surgery procedure; when you take the step of having it done abroad, like in Kuala Lumpur, you can save thousands.

Breast Augmentation: In Brief

Breast augmentation, also called augmentation mammoplasty, is the catch-all term for surgery to increase breast size. The vast majority of these procedures use either saline or silicone implants:

  • Silicone implants feel more realistic since they are filled with gel and so they are generally favored over the saline option.

  • Saline implants have a more liquid filling so leaks are more easily detected. These are considered the safest option.

You can read more about the differences between silicone and saline implants here

The type of material is not the only choice you and your surgeon will have to make. Importantly, the position of the incisions will have to be decided upon. The two small cuts are made in one of these three places:

  • In the breast crease breast (inframammary)

  • Under the arm (axillary)

  • Around the nipple (periareolar)

The implants can also come in slightly different shapes such as more rounded or teardrop-shaped.

You should know that most implants last around 10-12 years, and you may need another surgery after that time.

Why Undergo Breast Augmentation in Kuala Lumpur?

Undergoing a cosmetic surgery procedure in Kuala Lumpur will save you money, and it also presents the chance to enjoy a holiday or even explore Malaysia further (if you have enough time before surgery).

Kuala Lumpur, the capital of Malaysia, is an impressive, modern city that has all the possible tourist attractions that you would want. It has a rich cultural and historical background, friendly and hospitable people and great nightlife. It’s also a fabulous shopping destination with upscale malls, local crafts markets as well as bargain shopping.

Australian residents, for example, can stay for three months in Malaysia without a problem.

The cost of living here is low, which means you can stay in luxury or boutique hotels for only a few hundred dollars or clean, modern budget ones for around AUD 50 breaking the bank.

We also carry publish post-surgery patient reviews and publish their feedback on our site—good or bad. Our homework provides you with the assurance that your breast augmentation surgery will be carried out in the proper manner and at reasonable rates.

What Does Breast Augmentation Surgery Entail and What is the Downtime?

After an initial consultation with your plastic surgeon in Kuala Lumpur regarding the type, shape and size of implants, as well as any other checks, you will be ready for the surgery.

The doctor will decide where to make the incisions as they can be placed in the armpits, under the breasts or around the nipples (this can also be up to you if you have a strong preference). The implants are placed in the small cavity and the skin sutured. You may also need to have the nipples slightly repositioned the expanded chest size can skew their position.

Surgery will take about an hour or so and you will most likely need general anesthesia for it. You will normally have to spend at least one night in hospital, after which you can go back to your hotel in KL to rest further.

You will need to take about a week off from work, have to sleep in an upright position and use surgical bras for some time. You will need drains for a few days and make it to the follow-up appointments, as required. You will experience pain and swelling and will be on painkillers and antibiotics.

How Much Can I Save on a Breast Augmentation in Kuala Lumpur Compared to Home?
