The perfect profile can by yours with facial liposuction in Mexico. The impact of ageing on our skin results in loss of elasticity, and there’s only one direction loose skin heads – and that’s down.
Excess skin and fat accumulates around the jowls, chin and neck with no amount of exercise removing it. Facial liposuction can rid you of these ageing features, helping to restore your youthful looks.
A relatively quick, simple and uncomplicated procedure, facial liposuction is useful if you just have these one or two problem areas to correct. It can be done on its own, but often it is done with other procedures as part of a facial rejuvenation treatment.
Double chins, jowls, turkey or wattle-necks can all be banished with facial liposuction – and the great thing about it is that most people will just think you’ve lost weight. Compared to a facelift, liposuction has a much speedier recovery, results in fewer complications and costs less.
In Mexico, the cost of facial liposuction is around half the cost of the procedure in the United States and Canada, making it a particularly good option for patients from any country, but particularly so for North Americans who can travel easily and quickly to Mexico.
For anyone who doesn’t want a long recovery time or hasn’t enough time to spend time at their destination recuperating, it is the perfect choice. There are clinics across the country offering facial liposuction, from the resort areas of Cancun, Puerto Vallarta and Cabo San Lucas, to destinations near the US-Mexico border which are perfect for a day trip.
Liposuction techniques have moved on over the years, but we still recommend you do some research to find a quality physician who is reliable. We background-check all of our clinicians and visit clinics personally. We list qualifications and doctors professional memberships on our site, as well as publish clinic photos and real patient reviews. This gives you the ability to make an informed choice, knowing that your doctor is trustworthy and reliable.
The procedure takes, on average, around an hour. You will be given an anesthetic and depending on what areas you are having treated, small incisions will be made either beneath your chin, in the angle of your jaw or inside your lower lip. A cannula (narrow tube) is inserted through the incision and this will be used to pump in a solution to liquefy the fat, which is then sucked out, usually using the same tube. Sometimes ultrasound is used to break up the fat. When the procedure is finished, the wounds will be closed with stitches.
You will experience mild pain, for which painkillers will be prescribed. There will be a little swelling and bruising. Most people feel good 24-48 hours after the procedure, although they may not necessarily look good. You can disguise bruising and swelling with clothing – wear high necks, or a scarf. Men often grow beards. Sleep in an elevated position to reduce swelling and don’t do anything strenuous for 4-6 weeks. The swelling and bruising takes around 2 weeks to dissipate. The scars will be pink, initially, eventually fading to white in around a year.
It depends on how many areas you are having treated, but as an average cost for facial liposuction in Mexico you’ll be looking at around $1,000, compared to $2,000 in the US.
