Searching for affordable Sculptra® in Bangkok? Find quality-checked clinics at the best prices with Medical Departures for this long-lasting anti-aging treatment.
Sculptra is a branded, injectable type of dermal filler made from poly-L-lactic acid that replaces lost collagen, correcting shallow to deep nasolabial facial wrinkles and folds (also known as “smile lines” or “laugh lines”). The treatment rejuvenates your face to help lend you a more youthful look. With very little downtime, it’s ideal to have when visiting Bangkok on holiday or business, where you can get on with your trip with little interruption.
Sculptra offers subtle results that can last for more than two years. A series of injections over a period of months gives a natural appearance, using a biocompatible and biodegradable synthetic material that has been in medical use for decades. While it may only be practical to receive one course in Bangkok, you can still save several hundred compared to costs in Australia or the UK, for example.
Collagen production decreases as we age, which causes the onset of wrinkles. Replacing lost collagen is the key component to keeping skin smooth and young-looking. Sculptra treatment replaces collagen via a series of injections (on average three or four) although this varies from person to person.
A rule of thumb here is one vial of Sculptra for every 10 years of age. So if you’re 30, you’ll need three; four if you are 40, and so on.
Sculptra Aesthetic is suitable for:
Nasolabial folds–the deep folds between nose and mouth, also known as smile lines
Marionette lines (the lines framing your mouth)
The number of injections per treatment will be decided between you and your physician. Your treatment will not take long; each designated site will only take a few minutes. You may experience discomfort at the injection site, but some physicians may give you an anesthetic before treatment begins.
Immediately after the treatment, you will experience some redness and swelling both of which will subside over the next day or two.
Bangkok has some extraordinary medical and cosmetic facilities with professional, qualified and expertly trained staff. The Thais’ commitment to customer care is also much in evidence, delivering expert services in comfortable and efficiently-run surroundings. By far, the majority of people who visit Bangkok for cosmetic work leave more than happy with the results—this is why the city (and country as a whole) is considered the top medical tourism destination in the world.
Of course, from time to time, there are stories that come out in the media about ill-equipped premises or non-qualified practitioners. Unfortunately, these incidents can happen anywhere, and while you can never guarantee your procedure will be 100% safe (no medical, surgical or cosmetic procedure ever can be), you can give yourself the best chance by staying informed and choosing wisely.
Finding a facility you can trust often means undertaking your own research, which can be tricky when you don’t know where to start or which resources to trust.
