If you've a flat bottom Butt implants can help you achieve an hour-glass figure, giving you an enviable, pert derriere and a more curvaceous look.
Typically, it is thin women who have butt implants. They usually don’t have enough body fat to do a fat grafting or fat transfer procedure (also known as a Brazilian Butt Lift). There are a number of options prior to the surgery being performed that you and your surgeon will need to discuss beforehand:
Like breast implants, butt implants come in a variety of shapes and with different fillings. Your surgeon will discuss the different possibilities with you, and what the pros and cons are of each one.
Your surgeon will want to ensure any scarring is kept to the minimal, and again, there are a number of options which will be explained to you.
Implants may be placed above or below the muscle, and where it is placed may be up to your own surgeon’s preferences. However, it is worth discussing this before surgery.
Some surgeons combine liposuction with the butt implants procedure as they feel it gives a better look and contour so it is worth asking your surgeon about this as well.
The actual butt implant procedure can be done on an out-patient basis so you won’t even have to stay in hospital overnight. The procedure usually takes around an hour, or 90 minutes if liposuction is being done as well. After the incision(s) are made, pockets are created in each butt cheek using the existing muscle and tissues. The implants are inserted and the pockets stitched closed to hold the implant in place. If liposuction is being performed it will be done after the implants are inserted, and through different, smaller incisions.
Immediately after surgery you will be wearing a support garment, which you will need to wear for 2 to 3 weeks. You will feel bruised and stiff, and will find it more comfortable to lie on your stomach, rather than sit, for a few days. You will be encouraged to walk around as much as you can as this helps to ease swelling, which will speed up the recovery process.
You will need to takes things gently for a week or two, but gradually you will begin to feel less stiff. You should avoid vigorous exercise and heavy lifting for 6 weeks. If will take around 3 months for all the swelling to go down and for the implants to settle.
Prices do vary depending on where you go, but you should be able to save around 50% in comparison to the prices at home.
