A lip enhancement in Thailand can give you a plumper pout and help you defy one of those telltale signs of aging – thin lips.
The loss of collagen in our skin as we age also has a detrimental effect on the lips, but there are various ways to combat this with the array of different lip enhancement procedures now available to us. Some are temporary and some are permanent and there are plenty of options to choose from to add volume and even to change the size and shape of your lips.
Whether you are on holiday in Thailand or traveling there especially for a lip enhancement procedure, there are plenty of affordable, good-quality clinics to choose from at locations around the country.
You may already be aware that Thailand is the preferred destination of medical tourists worldwide. Its success speaks for itself as patients initially drawn here for surgery when Thailand first began to treat international patients have spoken well of their experiences. Success tends to breed success, and the mutually beneficial relationship between international patients and medical facilities continues to grow.
Lower prices may have been the primary factor in encouraging medical tourists to Thailand, and while this is still a major plus point, patients are consistently drawn here because of the excellent facilities, the quality of the surgery and the array of locations for rest and recuperation.
The attention to detail here is staggering – from hospital rooms that could be mistaken for boutique hotels to additional facilities to aid recovery, such as spa treatments. The Thais have thought of everything to make your stay efficient, safe and luxuriously comfortable.
Standards can be incredibly high, but it is worth remembering that there are also facilities that aren’t up to scratch. This is why it is always a good idea to research potential clinics and staff and read up about the procedures you have in mind. Don’t be afraid to ask questions – any trustworthy facility will be more than happy to answer them. Remember that if you aren’t happy at all, it’s your prerogative to change your mind.
Our Website strives to furnish you with the information we think is important in assessing quality. Medical staff qualifications, professional memberships and clinic facilities are perhaps the most vital ones. We verify this information, as well as making personal visits to clinics, and publishing high-definition photos, alongside testimonials from people who have used the services – previous patients. We only list clinics we’re happy with, so you are free to choose from our website, knowing the ost important factors governing your choices has already been checked.
You will find Thailand offers the same procedures and brands you are accustomed to at home. Lip enhancement treatments include surgical and non-surgical procedures, as well as temporary and permanent solutions. Obviously, a permanent solution is something you should think long and hard about as reversing permanent lip procedures is virtually impossible.
These are the quickest and easiest method of enhancing lips, usually by adding volume. Restylane and Juvederm are facial fillers that can also be used on the lips. They are temporary, lasting around 3 months, quick to do (the injections take minutes) and you can return to your everyday activities immediately.
This is usually done if you are having liposuction on another part of the body and the removed fat can be cleansed and processed and put into your lips.
Dermal Grafts – Fat-grafts are taken from deep skin layers and placed in the lips through incisions made on the inside of the mouth.
Lip implant – Natural or synthetic implants are inserted into the lips through incisions at the corners of the mouth.
Lip Lift – An incision is made under the nose so the skin underneath it can be pulled up and tightened. This has the effect of pulling the top life up too, increasing its size. Similar incisions can be made at the corners of the mouth to improve a downward turning mouth by removing excess skin.
Vermillion Advancement – To increase lip size a thin strip of skin is removed from around the lip line. The lips are then stretched to meet the remaining skin and stitched. The scars are hidden at the lip margin and will gradually fade so they are virtually unnoticeable.
Surgery will obviously take a few days to recovery from, and it may be another few weeks before all the swelling and bruising has completely gone. Most injections are done in a matter of moments, and apart from a little stinging, redness and slight swelling initially, after a few hours you should have no more discomfort.
Prices can be up to 50% lower, but it does depend on what treatments you are having.
