Nose correction in Manila, the Philippines capital, is a great way to change the size and shape of your nose to be more in balance with your other facial features. Known informally as a “nose job” and medically as “rhinoplasty,” this common procedure can even repair an old injury that is affecting your breathing.
With medical Departures, you can save thousands when booking at one of our quality-checked clinics in Manila.
You should be suitable for rhinoplasty surgery if you tick all of these boxes:
You are unhappy with the shape or size of your nose
Your face and nose have reached adult growth (i.e. you are at least 18 years old)
You are in good physical health
You don't smoke (smoking slows down the healing and increases the chance of infection)
It is also important that you have realistic expectations in terms of the surgical results and understand what the procedure entails (which is explained in brief further down).
Undergoing rhinoplasty in Manila is a great opportunity to experience the benefits of top medical care, affordable prices, and take in a mini-vacation all at the same time.
While visiting the rather hectic Philippines capital might not be at the top of your bucket list, a few days in Manila presents the opportunity to try some delicious street food, shop for bargains and check out a few cultural attractions. If time permits, you can head out of the city to one of the country’s breathtaking islands for more of a holiday—although this should be scheduled before not after your surgery.
Along with a new nose, you can see savings of between 50%-80%, including airfares and accommodation expenses (although this will depend on where you are flying from and how long you plan to stay).
Talk with your surgeon about how you can best enjoy your recovery time, as you won’t be able to fly home straight away.
Prices vary, depending upon your exact service and where you have it done. However, you can realise savings of 50-80% compared to prices for this same procedure in Australia, New Zealand and countries across Asia and Europe.

To ensure the quality of care when heading abroad, it’s wise to do the same research as you would when finding a provider at home.
Look up the surgeon’s education, qualifications, accreditation and professional memberships. Don’t forget to check out reviews from previous patients. Also, browse and compare portfolios of before-and-after photos to make sure their work matches what you envision for yourself.
Medical Departures can help you with finding a quality surgeon at a reputable clinic. We do our own quality checks on all of our listings. We check and list the surgeon’s education, qualifications, memberships and more. We even include all patient reviews, favorable and otherwise.
You’ll schedule an initial consultation with your chosen surgeon in Manila to assess your health and needs, as well as discuss your expectations. Before the surgery can proceed, you will need to be examined, have x-rays taken, and undergo any applicable test tests.
There may be a 24-hour waiting period prior to surgery. On the day of your surgery, you will be given anesthesia, the surgeon will make the needed incisions, and will reshape your nose structure. Once the reshaping is complete, the surgeon will close the incision and you will be given time to recover at your chosen facility.
While generally done for aesthetic purposes, nose jobs are carried out for a number of reasons; each uses different methods.
Two of the most common rhinoplasty techniques are:
Nose procedures can be completed in about two hours, although you should factor in several days of recovery time following the procedure.
You will need to have someone drive you home after your surgery (which can be arranged privately in Manila), and will need to take it easy for the next few days. You will wear a nasal splint for the first week, and bruising should decrease during that time. Noticeable swelling will decrease over the next two weeks, though it may take a few months for all the swelling to disappear. You should see the final shape of your nose in about six months.
You will be asked to avoid strenuous exercise or activities that may cause something to hit your nose three to four weeks after surgery.
