About Hector Duran

Hector Duran is an established plastic surgeon in Merida, Mexico. He is internationally trained and vastly experienced in a wide variety of cosmetic procedures to enhance both the face and body.

Hector Duran is based in Merida, Mexico and is a highly qualified cosmetic surgeon who specializes in a comprehensive range of procedures for the face and body to help patients achieve the look and shape that they’ve always desired.

Hector Duran is originally from Acapulco but graduated from the Universidad La Salle in Mexico City in 1996. After graduating, he specialized in General Surgery at the South Central Hospital of Petroleos Mexicanos where he also served as chief resident. He then undertook a subspecialty in plastic surgery at the same facility before travelling to Barcelona in Spain to do an internship with the prestigious Dr. Javier de Benito in the Teknon institute.

He has delivered over 80 lectures at numerous conferences and courses and has had over 15 articles published in specialist journals and books. He has also collaborated with many universities by teaching courses, classes and master's degrees at institutes such as the Autonomous University of Guerrero, the Pan American University and the Universidad Anahuac. His professional memberships include the Mexican Association of Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery and the Mexican Association of Burns.
