Save on the cost of dermal fillers in Cancun – an anti-aging treatment you can easily have done while on holiday – meaning you can head home looking more relaxed, fresher and younger than you did before you came.
Dermal fillers (of which there are different types) are currently some of the most popular beauty treatments on the planet for tackling lines, wrinkles and sagging skin. And it's easy to see why:
-They’re quick to administer
-You can see results fairly quickly, if not immediately
-There’s virtually no downtime
-They’re inexpensive compared to cosmetic surgery
Dermal fillers help to replace lost volume in the skin and the thin layer of tissue beneath. As we get older, our body’s functions slow down, and this includes our ability to naturally repair skin, which leads to the breakdown of collagen (the protein that is essential for good skin).
There is a double whammy here in that production of collagen (and other skin essentials, like hyaluronic acid) also starts to significantly decrease in our 40’s, inevitably leading to the formation of fine lines, which become wrinkles and finally leading to sagging and hollows.
There are a number of dermal filler brands and they don’t always necessarily act in the same way. It’s important you do a little research and get the right filler for the job – although a good cosmetologist will be able to put you straight on this.
The main ingredients of dermal fillers are:
Hyaluronic Acid
A number of dermal fillers contain Hyaluronic Acid (HA) – a naturally occurring substance in our skin that holds more than 1,000 times its weight in water. Babies have lots of it – which is why they have that lovely, soft, peachy skin.
Dermal filler brands containing hyaluronic acid include Restylane, Juvederm, and Perlane.
Collagen
Some dermal fillers contain collagen from other sources – usually cows (bovine). Before being administered with bovine fillers you will need to take an allergy test as there is a risk of allergic reaction in some patients. The most well-known brand is Bellafill (aka Artefill and Artecoll) which is a hybrid of cow collagen and minute plastic spheres.
Synthetic Fillers
The benefit of these is that they tend to last longer than fillers containing natural ingredients. Most of them are also permanent. It's important to think very carefully if you want to change your appearance permanently, bearing in mind that fashions change, as do your own tastes.
If you’re on holiday in Cancun and have been contemplating treatment to turn back the years, then, simply, why not? They’re quick to administer with very little downtime and results tend to be subtle. You’re also likely to save around 50% on the cost of treatments compared to at home.
We always recommend doing your own due diligence on any clinic offering dermal filler treatments, even though they are so commonplace. After all, these are still products that are injected into your skin and it pays to ensure your practitioner is qualified and experienced in providing these services. You also want to be sure that facilities are hygienic and up-to-scratch with verifiable health and safety protocols.
This is why booking through Medical Departures can put your mind at ease. It doesn’t cost you anything and you can browse our listings, view clinic photos, verify credentials, and read reviews from previous patients. You can then choose your clinic with confidence knowing that you’ve got safety and expertise covered.
The cost of dermal fillers in Cancun is around 50% less than what you’d pay at home.
