What Is a Labiaplasty?

If you find that your labia minora have too much skin, they hang down or are just too big, you may be facing physical problems, as well as potentially psychological ones. A large size may cause chafing, soreness and pain during intercourse; it may also make it difficult for you to wear tight clothes, particularly jeans or jeggings, swimsuits and other body shape revealing clothing.

Labiaplasty surgery, also called labial reduction, can be physically altering and also boost your confidence. Some women have problems that they are born with or that occur during puberty while others have enlarged labia after pregnancy and childbirth. In any case, the only solution is surgery, which is called a labiaplasty.

Why Have Labiaplasty in Kuala Lumpur?

Labiaplasty surgery is considered cosmetic surgery and so it entails out of pocket expenses. This surgery can be prohibitively expensive in places like Australia but in Kuala Lumpur, the Malaysian capital, it is much more affordable.

As well as the cost savings, you'll have the chance to enjoy a fantastic holiday in Kuala Lumpur, although you should get most of your sightseeing out of the way before surgery. The city can be reached directly from major cities across Australia, Asia and Europe, while accommodation prices here are relatively inexpensive—meaning you could stay in a four or five-star hotel and enjoy all the luxurious comforts during your post-surgery recovery.

KL is a great place for a holiday as it has all the possible tourist attractions that you would want. Being in the tropical belt, it has a comfortable climate since it never gets too cold here. You can visit tourist spots like the Petronas Towers, the KL Tower, various museums and even see the palace from outside.

Why Can’t You Book on Your Own and Just Go?

While you can always put your research in place regarding labiaplasty surgery, it can be extremely difficult to verify the credentials of a clinic, hospital or even doctor when booking overseas. This also goes for checking to see if they have affiliations with recognized bodies such as the Joint Commission International. When you book through Medical Departures, you can be confident about your choice as we have already verified everything before any facility is listed on our site.

We check out the qualifications, training, and experience of the doctors; the amenities of the place; the ancillary staff and other aspects that will go toward making your surgery as comfortable as possible. This adds a safety net to your surgery and you can book with us and lay your fears at rest.

How Long Does Labiaplasty Surgery Take and What Is the Downtime?

The surgery, which may be done under local or general anesthesia, is relatively simple. Extra sin is cut off and the labia reshaped to make it look neat. Usually, only the labia minora is surgically reduced, though some women require the labia majora also altered. Different methods may be used to perform the labial reduction, including with a laser, which removes part of the labia or even removing the outer layers either with a scalpel or laser. These methods cause less bleeding and may shorten recovery time.

After surgery, it is worth noting the following:

  • Post-surgery, you will have to wear tight pads and may experience some spotting.

  • You will be put on a course of antibiotics and painkillers for a few days.

  • You may experience some pain and discomfort for some days.

  • In around three days you should be able to resume normal activities, though you will have some restrictions for around six weeks or till the healing process is complete (you will not be able to have sex during this time).

  • As soon as you are comfortable moving around, you can resume work.

What Is the Cost of Labiaplasty in Kuala Lumpur?

Labiaplasty is extremely affordable in KL.

For example, in Australia, labial reduction surgery can cost between AUD 5,000 and AUD 9,000 (and it is rare to get medical insurance for this kind of surgery). In Kuala Lumpur, you can undergo the procedure for as little at AUD 2,500, a fraction the price.
