Title:Medical negligence and zero accountability: my treatment with Dr. Karn caused harm, not healing Review:Between October 31st and November 27th, 2023, I was treated at this hospital by neurologist Dr. Karn for severe bruxism — a condition involving constant jaw clenching, spreading muscular pain in the neck and head, and progressive damage to my teeth and chewing system. The treatment involved Botox injections into jaw muscles. However, the procedure was performed incompetently, resulting not only in no improvement, but in a significant worsening of my condition. The key issues include: Dr. Karn violated the original treatment plan, adding extra injections without justification. He split the second dose in two without medical reasoning, which increased the risk of drug tolerance — and I now appear to have developed it. He did not instruct me to activate the muscle during the procedure, which is standard for correct placement — raising questions about the technique. He referred to an anatomy book mid-appointment, clearly demonstrating lack of experience. During the post-treatment meeting, he admitted to having worked with only 20–40 patients using this technique — meaning he was not qualified for complex cases like mine. As a result, I experienced: Increased muscular pain and jaw dysfunction. Six new medications, three of which I had never used before. A fourfold increase in dosage of a fourth prescription. Multiple months of rehabilitation at external clinics, aimed at correcting the consequences of this procedure. Beyond the treatment failure, the hospital: Dismissed my worsening condition completely. Provided no documentation about the so-called “independent review” of my case. Let unauthorized individuals assess my file, without my consent or knowledge. And most shockingly — lost my signed informed consent form, which is still missing. I have requested a full refund of 45,470 THB for all services involving Dr. Karn, and compensation for rehabilitation and related expenses, totaling over 70,000 THB. Despite these facts, the hospital refused to issue a refund or acknowledge harm. My case is backed by three independent medical facilities that confirmed deterioration after the injections. If you’re considering treatment here — don’t.They may not only harm you physically, but humiliate you when you speak up — and then refuse to return your money.
