A rhinoplasty procedure typically takes between two and three hours, but this depends on how much work is required on your nose and whether the surgery is an open or a closed procedure. 

Normally, it is carried under local anesthesia, so you should be able to leave the clinic after you have recovered sufficiently. After surgery, you will have bandages, possibly splints and probably need to take antibiotics and painkillers. You will need to rest for a day or two at the hotel. 

For a surgery like this, it’s imperative that you get you take on more vigorous holiday activities (such as island hopping, swimming, trekking, etc.) before your surgery. 

Full recovery will take two to three weeks. You should find out from the doctor when it will be safe for you to fly back. You will experience some swelling and bruising, sometimes around your eyes as well. You will need to eat soft foods for a few days as chewing may cause pain. For the rest, you will be mobile and able to move around, albeit at a steady pace. 

In Cebu City, you can expect to pay between AUD 1,000 and AUD 7,000 for rhinoplasty.
