Dr. Carlos Merlano successfully completed a specialist three-year course in Plastic Surgery at the School Ivo Pitanguy in Brazil, and went on to gain qualifications in General Surgery, Angiology and Peripheral Vascular Surgery before gaining specialism in Endoscopy for Facial Rejuvenation at the Northeastern University in Corrientes, Argentina.

During his professional career he has carried out more than ten thousand successful procedures, earning him memberships with the Society of Plastic Surgery Colombia & Brazil and the Ibero American Federation of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (FILACS). He is currently the coordinator at the Athens Clinic has previously served as the coordinator of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the University Hospital North.
