Take effective action against forehead wrinkles and frown lines with a brow lift in Costa Rica.
With a medical holiday, you can explore this stunning country before surgery and recuperate in comfort before returning home with a more youthful appearance having saved thousands.
It's quite common for frown lines and sagging brows to make an appearance as you begin to age. Even so, wrinkles can cause you to look older or may even cause you to have an unhappy or angry appearance.
Such lines and wrinkles are often the results of skin relaxing as it loses elasticity. Having an eyebrow lift can eliminate the appearance of saggy, droopy eyebrows that cause you to look older.
As medical costs have increased in the United States and other Westernized countries, an increasing number of healthcare consumers are now taking advantage of the opportunity to travel abroad to have procedures performed. Costa Rica, just a short flight from the United States, has rapidly become a preferred destination.
This Latin American country, bordered by both the Caribbean Sea and the Pacific Ocean, is popular not only for its low costs but also for its stunning natural beauty. Nature enthusiasts will be certain to appreciate the opportunity to tour such sights as Arenal Volcano National Park, Manuel National Park, or Tortuguero National Park.
Costa Rica has also developed a reputation for its premier healthcare facilities, many of which adhere to the most stringent international standards, including those established by the International Standards Organization.
If you are planning to travel to Costa Rica for an eyebrow lift, it is still a good idea to perform such research prior to booking your appointment. Medical Departures assists in this process by providing free access to lists of background-checked medical facilities and surgeons. We only work with surgeons and clinics once they have passed our comprehensive background checks, which includes:
The surgery is performed under general anesthesia and can be done in the hospital or as an out-patient procedure. You will first meet with your surgeon to discuss your goals.
Once the surgery is underway, your doctor can use one of several techniques, based on your goals. The surgeon will make several small incisions along the hairline. An endoscope (a tube equipped with a camera) may be used to guide the surgeon. If you prefer the height of your hairline to remain unchanged, an incision may be made in the anterior hairline.
Following your procedure, you should expect your forehead to be taped for support and to prevent swelling and bruising. Your doctor may also have inserted thin tubes to drain fluid. The tube will be removed within a few days after your procedure. If stitches were used to close the incision, they will be removed within a week following your surgery. In some instances, it may be necessary for the doctor to use special staples or screws to secure your new brow. If used, the screws will be removed within two weeks.
Other things to take into consideration regarding your recovery:
The average cost for an eyebrow lift in Costa Rica is around the $2,000 mark; this is compared to $6,900 (GBP £4,755, AUD $9,726, EUR €6,196) in the United States.
