By undertaking a forehead lift in Mexico City you can reduce the effects of frown lines, tighten up your skin, smooth out your eyelids and reposition your eyebrows. The effects can be spectacular, giving you a more youthful appearance that will amaze your friends and provide a boost to your self-confidence that is priceless.
The main reason for undergoing a forehead lift in Mexico City is the price. You can save as much as 70% on the cost of undertaking the same procedures back home. But don’t be misled into thinking that you will receive treatment that is of an inferior quality just because you are paying less. On the contrary, Mexico have made massive investments in their medical infrastructure to ensure that their facilities and doctors provide a level of service that is at least on a level with, if not superior to, the standards you would expect to receive back home.
That being said, you still need to carry out proper research to ensure that the doctors and clinics that you visit are reputable and are capable of delivering the service and results that you are looking for.
For this reason, at Medical Departures we strive to make this process as uncomplicated as possible by supplying a list of reputable establishments and surgeons in Mexico City that can meet your needs. We perform a variety of background checks that include verifying staff qualifications and confirming professional memberships. We also undertake site visits and photograph the facilities so that you can see exactly what to expect during your visit. All of this research is available free of charge on our website, along with real patient reviews, to assist you in selecting the best hospital and doctors that can deliver the results that you desire.
Essentially, there are two types of forehead lifts. You can opt for an endoscopic forehead lift that entails a series of small incisions in the scalp that will allow your surgeon to insert a small camera into your forehead to study the structure underneath your skin. The procedure will be performed under a general anaesthetic, so you will not feel any pain or discomfort during the operation, and small anchors will be utilised to lift and secure the skin which delivers a more natural outcome as there is no skin removal involved in the process.
There is also the more traditional forehead lift technique available that entails one long incision that runs from the tips of both ears, through the hairline, to avoid any visible scarring. Lines and wrinkles are then smoothed out by lifting the skin, and the eyebrows will be repositioned to ensure a more natural-looking appearance.
In both instances, any incisions will be sealed with sutures, and the whole process should be completed in around two hours.
After your surgery there will be bruising and swelling in your upper face, especially around the eyes. You should find that ice packs help to alleviate these side effects, as will sleeping in an upright position for a few days. The symptoms can last for around 5 days, but should be pretty much dissipated by the time you have the sutures removed a week after your procedure.
You can bathe or shower 24 hours after your treatment, although you should try to keep any wounds dry and be cautious if using a hairdryer. You can undertake light activities within a day or two but you should refrain from any lifting or bending. You should be able to resume normal activities within around 3 weeks, although you should implement a little more caution with regards strenuous exercise and phase this back in around a month after your surgery. You should be fit to return to work within one week.
