One treatment can be carried out in less than an hour. However, Sculptra is designed to work gradually and it usually works best as a series of three treatment sessions with at least a month between each one. The treatment stimulates collagen, and this process takes four to six weeks, hence the waiting time in between each session.

Each session involves injecting the product into the specific areas under your skin. The changes to your face will happen subtly, but more noticeably, usually a few weeks after each session.

Things to note about your recovery/downtime following treatment:

• You may experience discomfort, redness, swelling, itching or bruising afterward, which should subside after a few days.
